Visit Rural Salem County
Alloway is a quiet rural destination rather than a conventional tourist center. Its strengths are Alloway Lake, Holly Hills Nature Preserve, local history and the broader agricultural landscape. Overnight lodging is limited inside the township, so nearby Salem County accommodations are clearly labeled as outside Alloway.
Public access at 26 East Canal Street includes parking, picnic tables, a dock and a small launch ramp. Only non-powered craft or electric trolling motors are allowed; fishing is catch-and-release under current township rules.
225 acres at 374 Alloway-Friesburg Road with two ponds, walking trails and paved parking. Motorized recreational vehicles are not permitted.
Room 216 of the municipal building. Current township information lists hours on the last Saturday of each month, 9 a.m. to noon.
Faith-based outdoor camp and adventure property operated by Ranch Hope. Programs and facility access depend on current offerings and reservations.
Alloway-Friesburg Road, Commissioners Pike and surrounding farm roads show the agricultural landscape that still defines the township.
Alloway is within a short drive of Woodstown, Salem, Quinton, Cowtown and other rural South Jersey attractions.
NJTGO did not verify a conventional hotel or public bed-and-breakfast operating inside Alloway Township. These nearby choices are outside Alloway.
